Magnesium oxide (MgO)is also called magnesia powder, light burned magnesia powder, calcined brucite powder or heavy magnesium oxide. With the bulk density of 2.94 g/cm3,melting point 2852 °C and boiling point of 3600 °C, it is soluble in acid and ammonium salt but hardly soluble in water and ethanol. The surface area is 180 m2 / g when calcination temperature 400 °C,3 m2 / g when temperature 1300 °C. Deliquescence easily in the air. It is a gas rigid cementitious material.

2.Product usage:

(1)IndustryCaustic calcined magnesium oxide is widely used in steel plant, desulphurization in power plant .It can be used to produce magnesite brick or a furnace protecting material.

(2)Animal husbandryMagnesium oxide which with low heavy metal content can be sprayed on the farm as animal feed which can increase nutrition for the animals.

(3)Construction In the building materials industry, it can make particle boards, heat preservation posts, rails, artificial marble, asbestos shingle, common tiles, walls and flooring.
